The National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, announced that Nigeria has made notable advancements in its battle against insecurity.
He reported that security forces have achieved an impressive 80 percent success rate in tackling kidnapping.
While inaugurating the MAAKFC in Abuja, Ribadu acknowledged the contributions of various security agencies in addressing the kidnapping crisis.
This new fusion cell is located within the National Counter Terrorism Centre, which is part of the Office of the National Security Adviser, and is aided by the UK’s National Crime Agency.
“I would like to recognize the National Coordinator and the dedicated team at the National Counterterrorism Center for their outstanding work. I take great pride in the advancements you’ve achieved thus far.”
“We might not publicize our efforts extensively, but I assure you, those working behind the scenes are having a tremendous impact on our nation today.”
“In less than two years, we can confidently state that we are nearing an 80 percent success rate, though we prefer to keep it low-key.”
“This success is due to the hard work and sacrifices of Nigerians dedicated to the welfare of our society,” he remarked.
