The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has sharply criticized the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the ADC, President Bola Tinubu and the APC have contributed to a serious economic downturn in Nigeria since they assumed office in 2015.
Mani Ahmed, who chairs the ADC’s Board of Trustees, expressed these views while discussing the party’s stance on Nigeria’s political landscape during an event in Abuja.
Speaking on behalf of the National Chairman, Ralph Okey Nwosu, Ahmed voiced his concerns regarding the country’s ongoing decline.
He lamented that the everyday life for citizens is increasingly challenging.
Ahmed highlighted alarming statistics indicating that nearly five million Nigerians fall into extreme poverty each year, which is distressing for a nation rich in natural resources.
He affirmed that substantial progress can only be achieved through effective governance and skilled leadership, asserting that the ADC has consistently served as a strong platform for revamping Nigeria.
