Yvonne Jegede, a renowned Nigerian actress and producer, has shared the devastating news of the passing of one of her foster children, Olamide Ajimuda, due to cholera.

Jegede revealed that she has been the sole supporter of three children, despite facing financial challenges since 2019.

In an emotional Instagram post, she expressed both her sorrow and thankfulness, mentioning that two of the children she was looking after had recently completed their secondary school education, including Olamide’s sister.

Jegede had known Olamide since his time in primary 4, with plans for him to advance to junior secondary school 3 after the summer vacation.

She credited her ability to support the children to her faith in God’s provision, acknowledging that despite her financial constraints, she was able to care for them.

Yvonne paid a heartfelt tribute to Olamide, stating, “I’m devastated by the loss of one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I crossed paths when he was in primary 4 and was about to transition to JSS3 after the summer.

“The news shattered me. I’m also elated that two of my children graduated to secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sibling. I may not have all the riches, but this completes my world.

“From 2019 till now, I’m not sure how I manage, but my God always provides enough for me to take care of them.

“Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda.”
