The troops stationed in Akate in Donga Local Government Area swiftly responded to intelligence reports indicating an impending attack by armed terrorists in Geshi Village. They engaged the armed men in a fierce gun battle, ultimately overpowering them with superior firepower. The criminals fled into the bush with gunshot wounds, but two terrorists were captured along with their motorcycles and are currently in custody for interrogation.
