Africa is a continent rich in tradition and culture and perhaps all African countries have their own beautiful culture peculiar to them.
One thing that however seems to be common with a lot of African cultures and traditions is the presence of kings. These kings are highly respected and regarded in the society and some kings are more important than the others.
One of the top kings in Nigeria, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has proven to be a well-loved monarch and he has now taken to social media to mark a milestone in his reign.
Oba Ogunwusi took to his Instagram page to share the good news of his fifth year on the throne to the joy of fans and well-wishers.
The king shared lovely and majestic photos of himself, some of which also included his entourage at the palace.
In the photos, Oba Adeyeye wore a flowing white gown with a white shawl and he also teamed up the look with his coral red beads and staff of power.
In the caption of the post, Oba Adeyeye wrote: “The 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, 4th year, 5th Year and still counting, It truly is only the King of kings thus far. I feel very fulfilled to always be in the midst of the image of my ancestors – Ooni Oduduwa, Ooni Ogbogbodirin, Ooni Wumonije and the others.”
