Al-Hilal has put forward a fresh proposal that could elevate Napoli’s Victor Osimhen to the status of the highest-paid footballer from Africa.
This information comes from a report by Goal.
The report indicated that the Saudi Pro League club has extended a contract offer that could reach €50 million annually, excluding bonuses, in an effort to attract the 26-year-old player.
Previously, Al-Hilal had offered Osimhen €30 million each year after triggering his €75 million release clause, but he declined their offer.
Although they aimed to finalize the transfer prior to the Club World Cup, Al-Hilal was unable to reach an agreement.
Nonetheless, it appears their fascination with the Super Eagles forward remains robust, and they are willing to take all necessary steps to secure his signing.
Currently, the title of the highest-paid African player belongs to Riyad Mahrez, who plays for Ah-Ahli.
The 34-year-old athlete transferred to the Saudi Pro League team from Manchester City and receives €1,003,846 every week.
