Peoples Democratic Party Selling Nomination Forms for Benue LG Elections

The Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has initiated the sale of nomination forms for the local government council elections in the state.

The announcement of the form sales was made through a statement released by the party’s publicist, Oryina Orvaa.

The Chairmanship form is priced at ₦100,000, to be deposited in the party’s account, while an Expression of Interest fee of ₦50,000 is to be paid at the party’s State Secretariat.

For the Councillorship form, a fee of N70,000 is required to be paid into the party’s bank account, along with an Expression of Interest cost of N20,000 at the State Secretariat.

Female aspirants are only obligated to acquire the expression of interest forms at the specified rates as nomination forms are free for them.

The sales and submission of forms deadline is set for Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Orvaa affirmed that the screening of aspirants is scheduled to begin without delay on August 25, 2024.

The chairmanship aspirants’ screening will take place in Makurdi at the party secretariat, whereas the councillorship aspirants’ screening will be held at the different zonal headquarters.

Orvaa also encouraged all party members to comply with the guidelines as the party gears up to compete for all chairmanship and membership roles in the local council during the approaching elections in Benue State.
