On Thursday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate from the 2023 elections, visited former Head of State Ibrahim Babangida at his home in Minna, Niger State.
Obi described this visit as a moment to discuss significant national matters with the esteemed elder statesman.
In a post shared on his official X account, Obi remarked, “I traveled from Jigawa State to Minna, Niger State to visit General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, a respected leader and father figure. This visit has allowed me to wish him a happy New Year and engage in meaningful dialogue on national issues.
“General Babangida’s insights and experiences are incredibly valuable, and I always look forward to the opportunity to seek his counsel and wisdom,” Obi added.
