On the eve of Sallah, road users, including motorists and motorcyclists, encountered heavy traffic on the Abuja/Kaduna Expressway.
The road has been jammed for several kilometers from Jere up to Katarina, forcing many to opt for the alternative Kagarko/Kachia/Kaduna road.
Daily Trust reports that the traffic logjam which began on Friday, got worse on Saturday.
An official of Kaduna state government said they were aware of it and had been working to restore normalcy since last night.
Some of the trailer drivers stuck in traffic told Daily Trust that they have been on a spot since 9pm on Friday.
As the situation got out of hand, soldier moved in to help control traffic.
