President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for the creation of a specialized secretariat for youth affairs in Abuja.
FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike confirmed this development during an engagement with Bwari area council locals on Monday.
Wike also implored residents to forego the planned nationwide protests set for August 1 and 10 during the event.
Similar sessions were held in Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), and Abaji, where Wike advised against participation in the #EndBadGovernance protest, especially for the youth.
Discussing Tinubu’s dedication to Nigerian youth, Wike stated, “On Saturday, I assured AMAC residents that I expected Mr. President’s approval for the youth secretariat, and he has indeed given his approval.”
“Yesterday, in Kwali, I reiterated this and can now share positive news. I met with the president last night, and he has endorsed the establishment of a secretariat for youth affairs.”
