President Tinubu Expresses Condolences to Jigawa Governor
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt sympathies to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi following the loss of his mother, Maryam.
Maryam, the matriarch of the Namadi family, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, and was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic traditions in her hometown of Kafin Hausa.
In a statement released on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu lauded the deceased for her dedication to community service.
He encouraged the Namadi family to preserve her legacy by continuing her charitable activities, emphasizing the lasting influence of her good works.
The President characterized her as a community cornerstone and urged the family to take comfort in the significant contributions she made during her life.
“It is important for Hajiya Maryam’s family to keep her spirit alive by engaging in acts of charity that reflect her commitment to the community,” stated Tinubu.
He urged both the governor and their family to derive strength from the positive influence and respect gained by the deceased throughout her life.
