For most of these, I went back to what I wrote about them at the time on my year-end lists, to preserve that time-capsule quality. Including but not limited to: hits, flops, obscurities, disco glitz, indie slop, rap bangers, slow jams, guitar noise, soul survivors, karaoke atrocities. And Stevie Nicks, obviously.
