The talented Guyanese-American singer and rapper, Saint Jhn, recently addressed claims of being influenced by the Nigerian afrobeats sensation, Rema.
Responding to a fan’s assertion that his latest single ‘Humble’ bore resemblance to Rema’s style, Saint Jhn clarified that while he acknowledges Rema’s talent, he has not been exposed to his music enough to draw inspiration from it.
One fan expressed, “I hear Rema’s influence on the new Saint Jhn,” to which Saint Jhn replied, “Nah, he’s dope. But I haven’t heard enough to be influenced.”
