Troops Capture Two Alleged Militants in Plateau State
In a recent operation by Operation Safe Haven, two individuals believed to be part of a militia group, Innocent Nanpan and Sebastine Samuel, both aged 20, were apprehended in Angwan Mata, located within the Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Authorities discovered a homemade rifle and four rounds of ammunition in the suspects’ possession.
According to security expert Zagazola Makama, the operation took place at approximately 11:10 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, and was launched based on reliable intelligence regarding armed factions of Mwaghavul descent operating in the region.
Currently, both suspects and the confiscated weaponry are being held for ongoing investigations.
