Seyi Law
Well-known Nigerian comic, Seyi Law, recently criticized Labour Party supporters following the All Progressive Congress (APC) winning the governorship in Edo state.
He raised doubts about the effectiveness of online popularity in influencing real-world political outcomes.
Seyi further took a jab at them while expressing confidence about the upcoming Ondo State election, where his candidate, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, will compete.
Months back, the comedian was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant for Entertainment and Tourism to the state Governor.
He expressed his belief that the Labour Party would not secure a victory in Ondo, emphasizing his involvement in the governor’s campaign.
“You may rack up the most shares, likes, and comments online, but can that convert into actual votes? Winning accolades for insults or curses doesn’t guarantee an increase in offline followers. The Ondo State election is approaching. You won’t even hear an ELUUUU,” he tweeted.
