A South African pastor named Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng recently stirred up a lot of conversation after being filmed carrying a large cross through the streets.
This unusual scene, reminiscent of scenes from the Bible, had many viewers, particularly in Zimbabwe, chuckling.
Pastor Mboro is currently dealing with serious legal issues, facing accusations of kidnapping, weapon possession, and assault. He was recorded on his way to court while carrying the heavy wooden cross, paralleling the image of Jesus bearing His own cross prior to His crucifixion.
As he made his way through the streets, many people stopped to watch this striking display.
In an interview with TimesLive, Pastor Mboro shared the deeper meaning behind his actions, expressing that the cross symbolizes hope and strength in difficult times.
“We were far away from God, but He brought us closer through the blood of Jesus, through the cross. All injustices, all diseases were on Him on the cross,” he remarked.
The pastor also revealed a troubling incident involving his son, Revival, who he says was assaulted by a group of eleven people. Those responsible have reportedly been arrested and will face charges related to assault and intimidation.
“The people who broke my cars are now coming out, assaulting my son, smashing his face, leaving bruises. There was no justice for more than a 100 days but God showed up,” Mboro stated.
He expressed hope and determination to overcome his struggles, declaring, “Today it’s just the beginning, I will conquer through the cross. Even if I face this war alone against ten, a hundred, or a million people, I will conquer it.”
