The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was among the key attendees at a thanksgiving event held on November 11, celebrating the 70th birthday of Pastor Tunde Bakare, founder of the Citadel Global Community Church.
This Lagos celebration also featured notable political personalities like Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, and Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II.
Many former governors and monarchs, including past Ogun State Governors Olusegun Osoba and Senator Ibikunle Amosun, as well as former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and Alake of Egbaland Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, graced the occasion.
Governor Sanwo-Olu took to social media to share moments from the event, highlighting the joy of being part of such a historic celebration.
During the event, he announced the launch of Bakare’s autobiography, titled ‘The Last, But Definitely Not the Least.’
In his post, he stated, “ Today, I attended a special celebration service for Pastor Tunde Bakare on his 70th birthday and the launch of his autobiography, ‘The Last, But Definitely Not The Least.’
He noted, “Pastor Tunde Bakare’s impactful preaching and teachings have profoundly inspired many. His commitment to service is remarkable, and he has been a pillar of hope by promoting the gospel.
“As he reaches this significant milestone, I pray that God continues to empower him for his essential work. May he be blessed with good health to further serve humanity and God’s kingdom.”
