The governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, emphasized integrity and honor as he swore in 10 judges for the State’s High Court and Customary Court of Appeal.

Gov Hope Uzodinma swore in 10 judges for the state’s High Court and Customary Court of Appeal, urging them to maintain integrity and honor in their roles.

Among the judges sworn in, seven will serve at the State High Court, while three will join the Customary Court of Appeal.

In recognition of the importance of the judiciary, Governor Uzodimma provided the newly appointed judges with Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to support their work, stating that societal stability relies on the delivery of justice.

In his address, Uzodimma stressed the need for the judges to fear God and exhibit integrity, dignity, and the fear of God in the execution of their duties.

The governor cautioned the public against pressuring judges and emphasized the crucial role of the judiciary as the last resort for justice for the common man.

He highlighted the importance of supporting judges without undue influence to enable them to discharge their duties impartially and efficiently, considering the intense public scrutiny that the judiciary faces.
