An 18-year-old carpenter named Bello Afeez Oluwapelumi was abducted on April 1, 2024, after being tricked by kidnappers posing as clients interested in hiring him for a carpentry job.
His family member, Bello Karimat Iyanuoluwa, shared with LIB that Afeez was taken on his birthday, and despite paying a ransom, the family has been unable to make contact with the abductors.
The family reached out for help, stating that Afeez was deceived by a fake job offer, and the kidnappers have been extorting money from them through various means without any fruitful outcome.
Efforts to involve the police and seek assistance through social media platforms like Twitter have not yielded results, and the family is desperate for any information regarding Afeez’s location.
