This Is Us actually is aware of tips on how to do a dramatic send-off. While the cliffhangers in the season two finale actually left us on the fringe of our seats, there was one factor that actually made us emotional: the gorgeous music. As Kate walks down the aisle in her wedding gown, “Alps” by Novo Amor and Ed Tullett performs in the background. Not solely are the lovely melodies sufficient to make you choke in your sobs, however the lyrics about a nostalgic love are extremely becoming. While Kate and Toby say their vows and trade rings, the episode flashes again to a younger Kate as she innocently asks her dad, Jack, if she will be able to marry him when she grows up.

While he tells her they cannot get married, he guarantees that she is going to at some point meet a man who’s even higher than him. Aside from gushing about how fortunate her future husband might be, he provides that he might be there on her marriage ceremony day to stroll her down the aisle and provides her away. Cue the tears! While we’re completely satisfied Toby and Kate lastly bought married, we will not assist however be a little heartbroken that her father wasn’t there to see it.
