Nigerian Singer Charly Boy Discusses Early Trauma
Charly Boy, a well-known Nigerian musician whose real name is Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, has shared his experiences of sexual abuse by his nanny during a recent media talk.
He mentioned that at 12 years old, he encountered health issues, specifically, he contracted gonorrhoea.
During his conversation with Duke Rants, Charly Boy addressed various sensitive topics, including struggles with erectile dysfunction, highlighting that physical intimacy is more than just penetration.
He recounted numerous sexual experiences and talked about the abuse he faced from his nanny, describing it as an oddly pleasurable memory.
“I was r@ped by my nanny,” he admitted.
Charly Boy reflected on the incident, stating that, although he was unaware of the abuse’s nature at the time, he found enjoyment in it.
“At the time, I didn’t realize what was happening; I actually enjoyed it,” he explained.
Additionally, he revealed that by the age of 12, he was already visiting brothels, leading to his sexual encounter with gonorrhoea.
“By 12, I’d already contracted gonorrhoea from frequenting the brothels in the area,” he noted.
