There’s a lot of drama surrounding Alaskan Bush People at the moment, and Bear Brown is at the center of it. Here’s what happened: After Bear’s ex-fiancee, Raiven Adams, filed for a domestic violence protective order against the reality star in February 2020, fans started questioning whether the show should continue. Adams accused Bear of being “verbally abusive,” withholding “food” and “money” from her as punishment, and she also alleged he abused drugs, per court docs obtained by The Blast

These claims didn’t sit well with viewers, as one person tweeted, “I see Bear Brown from Alaskan Bush People has a protective order against him for being abusive to his pregnant ex. Allegedly doing drugs a lot. The family r trouble and should not be on TV nasty.” Someone else said, “Can these fools get any more ridiculous????  … why are they still allowed on the air?”

The Texas resident withdrew her request for a long-term restraining order and a judge “dissolved” the short-term order against Bear in March 2020, just days before their son, River, was born prematurely, The Sun reported. However, the drama continued when it was revealed Bear hadn’t seen his newborn son. Although the reality star said the distance was because of the coronavirus concerns, Adams seemingly implied Bear wasn’t answering her calls, per The Sun.

It remains to be seen whether Alaskan Bush People will get canceled, but it’s clear some fans are upset with Bear.
