Tope Alabi’s husband, Soji Reacts after his wife was Criticized Over Her viral ‘soapy’ and ‘zanku’ dance at her fathers burial (VIDEO)

Earlier this week, a video spotting Tope Alabi dancing ‘Zanku’ and ‘soapy’ at her Father’s burial went viral over the internet, with many fans questioning her spirituality.

Social media users who called out the gospel singer, declared that she is deviating from whom she was 10 years ago.

“This is Evangelist Tope Alabi oo.. What is this world turns to for God sake. The Tope Alabi I knew 10 years ago is totally different from this one. Hmmmm Ogun Esu gbe ‘bon o!”, the Facebook user, Adeniji Aderogba wrote.

However reacting and confirming the video in an interview on TVC’s “Wakeup Nigeria”, Tope Alabi stated that she needed that dance at that time.

The singer, said she was dancing at her father’s burial and people with “spiritual eyes” will understand its meaning.

Soji Alabi, the husband to popular gospel artiste, Tope Alabi has now reacted in defense of his wife.

The husband, who spoke to Celebrity Diary on the telephone, said “People should not just believe things without finding out the reasons. That video was definitely recorded at the wake keep service of my wife’s late father. As somebody who just lost her father, she was just trying to dance away the tears and she just expressed herself. Nobody saw her when she was crying, but now they are against her for dancing?

The wake keep was organized by some gospel artists and it was held in front of her late father’s house. Somebody must have recorded the video and sent it online for reasons best known to only God. My wife has done nothing wrong please” he pleaded.
