Kwabena Osei, aged 22, and his girlfriend, Princess, 19, tragically lost their lives in a fire ignited by his friends, who were motivated by a dispute over GHS 190,000 believed to be from internet scams in Kasoa, Ghana.
Reports from GhPage indicate that Osei was part of an alleged internet fraud ring and became a target after he declined to share the earnings with his friends.
Despite repeated discussions urging Osei to distribute the money, tensions remained high, ultimately leading his friends to take a drastic step.
In an extreme act, they reportedly soaked Osei’s house in gasoline before setting it on fire, completely destroying the property.
Tragically, Princess was inside the home during the incident and also perished in the blaze.
Sources mention that she participated in the fraudulent scheme, allegedly helping Osei by impersonating a white woman while making phone calls for the gang.
