Recently, shocking photos have emerged showing the 14-year-old boy who was tragically beheaded in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Malik Kareem lost his life in a ritualistic killing on Saturday evening, August 10.
This dreadful incident took place in the Olorisaoko community in the Akinyele Local Government Area.
The young victim had just completed his final exams at Iyana Community Grammar School, Olode, Moniya, Ibadan.
Reports suggest that Kareem and three of his friends sought the help of a fleeing Muslim cleric for a money ritual.
Unbeknownst to Malik, his friends had conspired with the cleric to sacrifice him for their ritual.
Upon hearing the news of Kareem’s death, his family hurried to the cleric’s residence and identified the headless body as their beloved son.
At that point, the cleric had already escaped.
It was later revealed that Kareem was strangled, beheaded, and his head was burnt by the cleric.
The ashes from the burnt head were then to be consumed daily by the other boys in pap.
The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed that investigations are underway.
The community is mourning the loss of young Malik.
