An unfortunate event occurred at Tanza by Ifeanyichukwu Motors, along Nteje-Awka-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State, where a truck accident led to the death of a conductor of a commercial vehicle.
The driver of a commercial Mercedes Actros truck, registered as WKR824XA, lost control when the truck’s tyre burst, causing the vehicle to fall on the road.
Margaret Onabe, the acting Sector Public Education Officer of the Anambra State command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, confirmed the incident, stating that two males were involved, with one sustaining injuries and the other tragically losing his life.
According to Onabe, eyewitnesses reported that the fatal crash was likely caused by the tyre burst, leading to the driver’s loss of control and the subsequent accident.
Upon the arrival of the FRSC rescue team from RS5.3 Nteje, the victim who lost his life had already been transported to the morgue by Ogidi Police Division personnel.
