Nigerian Woman Shares Heartbreaking Story of Cousin’s Death
A Nigerian woman, Mrs. Zanga, has recounted the tragic death of her cousin, who reportedly died after refusing a blood transfusion due to her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness.
The cousin, who had three children, passed away in the early hours on December 6.
In her account, Mrs. Zanga disclosed that the deceased’s husband is currently living with another woman after having an affair and fathering a child with her.
“My cousin passed away this morning, leaving three kids behind, the youngest being just 4 years old. The reason for her death? She declined blood transfusions due to her beliefs as a Jehovah’s Witness,” she expressed on X.
“It’s heartbreaking to witness someone die in 2024 simply because a religious group prohibits blood transfusions. It’s an incredibly foolish reason for a death.”
She further lamented that the husband is not only with another woman but also denied his wife the necessary blood transfusion because of his religious beliefs.
