Robert Ewa, who held the position of Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Cross River State, has tragically passed away.

 

His death occurred on the evening of January 8, as reported by Channels TV.

 

Ewa succumbed to his condition at Arubah Specialist Hospital in Calabar, shortly after participating in a state executive council meeting.

 

“At the time this news was reported, members of the Cross River State Executive Council along with aides of Governor Bassey Otu were present at the hospital to support the grieving family. Ewa attended the executive council meeting earlier that day, which was led by Governor Otu,” the report detailed.

“He previously held the roles of Secretary and later, Chairman of the Boki Local Government Council. Furthermore, he was the Special Adviser on Community Relations as well as Secretary of the Anti-Deforestation Task Force,” it added.

 

As of the latest information available, there has been no official statement from the state government regarding the commissioner’s passing.
