Adebisi Edionseri, a well-known Nigerian entrepreneur and social figure referred to as Cash Madam, has passed away at the age of 89.
She passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, after a short illness that has not been disclosed.
Her death occurred in Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, and was made public in a statement from her family, specifically through her son, Dr. Adebayo Adebowale.
The family’s message emphasized the significant influence she had on both her loved ones and her community, celebrating her life as a “shining example of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith.”
“We express our heartfelt thanks to Allah for the wonderful life she led, as we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who left us on January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, after a brief illness.
“Her life represented grace, dignity, and steadfast faith. Princess Edionseri’s wisdom, kindness, and commitment deeply affected many around her, teaching us about love, resilience, and faith in Allah. She leaves behind a legacy that will motivate future generations.
“In our sorrow over this immense loss, we take time to celebrate the extraordinary life she led. Her laughter, kindness, and the principles she imparted will stay with us forever, guiding us in our journey without her physical presence,” the statement concluded.
According to plans, Edionseri will be laid to rest following Islamic rites on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4 PM, at her residence in the Abeokuta Government Residential Area.
