Urgent: Labour Party Declares Obi a Fraud and Issues Quit Notice

Abure Is An Impostor Quit Notice Issued to Obi Mischievous (via Primetweets)

The Caretaker Committee of the Labour Party (LP), led by Senator Nenadi Usman, has branded Julius Abure as an impostor.

This announcement follows the dismissal of a 48-hour demand directed at the party’s leader, Peter Obi, to resign or risk expulsion.

In a statement by Ken Eluma Asogwa, the Senior Special Assistant (Media) to Acting National Chairman Nenadi Usman, the LP rejected the ultimatum from Abure’s faction as insidious.

The statement expressed, “The Labour Party has become aware of deceptive reports and comments implying that Mr. Peter Obi was given a 48-hour notice to step down due to his involvement in recent coalition discussions and the launch of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja.

“To clarify, on May 26, 2025, the Labour Party leadership publicly expressed unwavering support for Mr. Obi’s participation in coalition initiatives intended to provide a strong political alternative and address the challenges facing Nigeria under APC’s administration. This stance remains unchanged.

“We want to emphasize that Mr. Peter Obi’s involvement in coalition events, including the ADC unveiling, occurred with the full knowledge, approval, and backing of the Labour Party leadership.

“Those asserting that they have issued an ultimatum to Mr. Obi are merely political jokers lacking any legitimate authority within the Labour Party.

“They hold no recognition from the party or the legal system, having been previously dismissed by the Supreme Court of Nigeria and suspended for multiple acts of misconduct and anti-party behavior.

“The current administration under Senator Nenadi Usman continues to address the chaos left by these impostors.

“Thus, we encourage the public and especially the media to ignore the distractions and mischief propagated by these discredited individuals.

“For clarity’s sake, the sole legitimate authority on the official stance of the Labour Party on any issue is the office of Senator Nenadi Usman, Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party.”
