Abdulazeez Hope Maryam, a Nigerian resident, recounted how her 2-month-old baby passed away in a Kano hospital due to the lack of doctors.
The devastated mother expressed in her Facebook post that after arriving at the hospital’s emergency section, she endured a wait of over two hours with no medical personnel to provide care.
She tragically revealed that before she had the chance to transfer her baby to another facility, her child had already passed away.
“I never truly grasped the gravity of the phrase ‘may Nigeria never happen to you’ until that day I rushed my daughter to Nassarawa Hospital in Kano. After waiting for more than two hours without a doctor in sight, I lost my beloved little girl before I could seek help elsewhere. Oh, the pain,” she recounted.
“My sweet angel, your time here was too fleeting, yet your presence has forever altered my life. In just two months, your joyous smiles and gentle cooing captured my heart. Your brief existence left an indelible mark on my soul that I will treasure eternally.
“Rest in peace, little one, and shine ever so brightly among the stars. My love for you exceeds what words can convey. HIBATULLAH.”
