Justin Timberlake’s newest scandal
Timberlake and Wainwright are co-stars in the new film Palmer. The film is a drama about a real life football player. The film itself hasn’t made as many headlines as the interactions between its two stars.
Timberlake was seen holding hands with Wainwright at a bar. Pictures of their time togather led to rumors Timberlake was cheating on his wife, Jessica Biel. Here’s how Timberlake responded to those rumors.

According to Sky News, he apologized. “I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love.” Timberlake continued “A few weeks ago I displayed a strong lapse in judgement – but let me be clear – nothing happened between me and my costar.
Timberlake continued “I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better. This is not the example I want to set for my son.”
“I apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be. This was not that.”
Wendy Williams weighs in
Wendy Williams wasn’t impressed with this response. She ripped up her copy of Timberlake’s words and said “Sir, please.” She said “It must be hell at home, honey! She probably grabbed him by the scuff of his neck and said ‘You better get out there and say something.”
Williams didn’t just find Timberlake’s words questionable. She found his entire marriage questionable. “I never thought they were a great couple as far as chemistry. I mean, they look good together but I don’t really understand the appeal of Biel beyond a ‘look.’”
The host doesn’t think Biel is a good match for Timberlake. “I don’t see her being able to dance to his music or drink all night with him. Maybe too serious for him.”
Williams’ feeling that Biel is “too serious” for her husband is interesting given Biel’s roles in comedies like BoJack Horseman, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day. She added “I picture him with somebody who has a little swivel in her hip. A little glide in her side!” She also called Biel “a lovely girl” and “very beautiful.”
Will Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stay together?
Williams might think Timberlake has a bad marriage, but Harper’s Bazaar suggests otherwise. The magazine says Biel does not believe Timberlake cheated on her. Harper’s Bazaar also reports she intends to stay with her husband despite this scandal.
As per usual, Williams’ comments were divisive. Some felt she accurately assessed the Timberlakes’ marriage. Others felt she is overreacting to a minor transgression by Timberlake. Either way, her honesty is quintessentially and uniquely her own.
