Woman Arrested in Adamawa for Allegedly Assaulting Her Young Stepchildren Over Bathroom Incidents

Fatima, who is reportedly married to the children’s father but has not yet had a child with him, has confessed to assaulting her stepchildren after her arrest on Saturday, October 5.

 

Fatima Abubakar, a 37-year-old woman from Sanda in Yola South LGA, has been apprehended by the police in Adamawa state for allegedly severely mistreating her young stepchildren, aged 2 and a little boy.

Reports indicate that she is accused of making the children suffer to the point of urinating and defecating in their living space.

Witnesses claim that Fatima frequently abused the children and withheld food from them, warning others to stay out of her business.

The arrest was carried out after concerned locals alerted law enforcement. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the details to the media.

SP Nguroje also stated that the Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has instructed that Fatima face charges in court.
