A woman of Nigerian descent named Yetunde has been taken into custody by the United Kingdom authorities. She was apprehended for physically attacking another Nigerian woman. The altercation was caught on video, showing the suspect accusing the other woman of having an affair with her husband in the UK. The video depicted a heated exchange in Yoruba with insults and physical confrontation.
In a separate incident, a Nigerian lawyer named Dele Olawanle shared a story from 2023 about the UK police arresting a Nigerian woman for falsely accusing her husband of rape and abuse spanning 12 years.
According to Olawanle, the woman fabricated the allegations as a ploy to gain freedom from her husband after they moved to the UK. Subsequent police investigations uncovered that she had been receiving instructions via text messages on how to frame her husband.
