A woman recently shared her experience on the X platform about a failed attempt to defend her friend at a restaurant.
She recounted how she and her friend went to a restaurant, where her friend was turned away for not adhering to the dress code.
When she questioned the discrepancy between their attire since she also wore a short dress, she received a reply that has lingered in her mind ever since.
Her words were: “They enforced the dress code on my friend at Mantra, claiming her skirt was too short.
In what I thought was support, I remarked, ‘If she can’t come in, then I shouldn’t be let in either since my dress is also short.’ To which they replied, ‘You’re short, so it’s acceptable.’
