Wumi Toriola Celebrates Record-Breaking Success of “Queen Lateefah”
Nollywood star Wumi Toriola has expressed her joy on Instagram following the impressive achievements of her film, “Queen Lateefah,” which recently set seven new records.
In her social media update, she shared that the film established itself as: ‘The Highest Grossing Nollywood Release during a non-festive period’, ‘The Highest Opening Weekend for a non-holiday season’, ‘The 7th Highest Grossing Film in Nollywood history’, and ‘The Highest Grossing September Release ever’, among others.
She expressed her gratitude, stating, “Thank you to all the amazing Nigerians and Laterfanzz who contributed to the fantastic success of ‘Queen Lateefah’ during its time in theaters.”
With a total of 365.4 million at the box office, the film now holds the title of the 7th highest grossing film in Nigerian cinema history.
