A police operation in Ogun state has led to the arrest of a 27-year-old named Afeez Adesina.
This arrest follows shocking allegations that he murdered his 80-year-old aunt, Aduke Alukete, inside her residence in the Ado Odo Ota region on Friday, December 27.
The horrific act was reported by Aderamu Jelili Ademola, who informed law enforcement that Adesina had entered his aunt’s home and used a knife to commit the crime.
Authorities captured him while he was attempting to escape the scene. The local Divisional Police Officer and detectives proceeded to the location, where they collected the victim’s remains and transported them to Ilaro General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The suspect has been moved to the State CID in Abeokuta for more in-depth investigation.
During questioning, the unemployed Adesina claimed that he believed his aunt’s death would somehow help him find a job quickly.
