Alphonso Davies, the dynamic left-back for Bayern Munich, is currently among the most coveted players in international football.
With his contract expiring at the end of June, elite clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United are reportedly vying for his signature.
There have been recent rumors suggesting that the 24-year-old is close to signing with Real Madrid. Nevertheless, his agent, Nedal Huoseh, has categorically rejected these rumors.

“The rumors of a finalized deal with Real Madrid are false,” Huoseh clarified in a discussion with transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano. He mentioned, “The player has multiple options, but we have not settled on anything with any club. A new contract with Bayern is still a possibility.”
Bayern Munich’s Efforts to Keep Davies
Bayern Munich is optimistic about retaining Davies, with sporting director Christoph Freund expressing confidence. “We believe in our chances,” Freund stated. “He is very content in Munich and performing exceptionally well. This setup works perfectly for him.”
Head coach Vincent Kompany is also keen on keeping the Canadian star. Allowing a player of Davies’ caliber to leave for free would be a significant setback for the club.
Davies has emphasized his focus on the current moment. Recently, he expressed his dedication to the team. “Right now, my priority is to stay fit and contribute to the club I’m with,” he noted. “The Bayern community makes me feel appreciated every single day.”
Could Real Madrid Be Alphonso Davies’ Next Home?
Even with the denials, Real Madrid remains a leading contender for Davies. Reports indicate that the Spanish club considers him a prime target for 2025. Should he depart from Bayern, they are viewed as likely candidates to acquire the Canadian talent.
Since joining Bayern from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2018, Davies has been pivotal to the team’s success. This season, he has provided three assists in 15 games, accumulating 11 goals and 34 assists in 210 matches, highlighting his exceptional skill set.
As things stand, the uncertainty of where Davies will play next season looms large. Will Bayern manage to hold onto him, or will Real Madrid secure a deal? The football community is waiting to see.
