Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of Real Madrid, has stated that he is not seeking any new players in the upcoming January transfer window, despite the recent injuries affecting the squad.
The experienced manager feels confident in his team’s ability to tackle upcoming challenges, especially as they prepare to play against Celta Vigo after the international break.
“We are truly saddened for Dani. He’s an essential part of the team, but we will harness his strength in various ways. He will continue to support us as a leader in the locker room,” Ancelotti mentioned.
Ancelotti’s Views on January Transfers
In light of Carvajal’s injury, Ancelotti remains steadfast in his decision not to seek new transfers in January. “I have not requested any new additions. We managed the circumstances efficiently last year, and I trust we will replicate that success this season,” he elaborated.
Despite speculation among fans about potential incoming players, Ancelotti emphasizes utilizing the current squad, highlighting young players like Lorenzo Aguado and Jesús Fortea, who might be called upon. When asked about replacing Carvajal as a right-back, he indicated that Eder Militao could step in, stating, “Militao is capable of playing there.”
Regarding transfers, the manager acknowledged that while they are always open to opportunities, acquiring a player who fits well with Real Madrid is quite challenging, insisting, “We are not currently contemplating it.”
Ancelotti: “I have not asked for new signings in January as last year we managed the situation well, the same will happen this year”.
