Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei, hailing from Italy, has addressed the rumors surrounding his potential departure in January by affirming his intention to remain at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old player, who transferred from Inter Milan, had been facing questions regarding his future. However, he now expresses his commitment to the club.
Speculation arose regarding a possible loan or sale after Casadei was removed from first-team consideration, especially as Chelsea navigates its financial duties under the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability policies.
Despite this, Casadei has re-established himself within the squad and played in Chelsea’s EFL Cup and Conference League matches under the guidance of manager Enzo Maresca.
Casadei Declares Commitment to Chelsea
In an interview with Tuttosport, Casadei expressed his feelings on staying with Chelsea, saying: “I chose to remain at Chelsea in the summer after discussions with Maresca, who was very straightforward. I had no doubts, decided against any loan offers, and I am proud to be here. I am not considering a January transfer.”
After suffering a loss to Manchester City at the start of the season, Chelsea has since recovered, currently enjoying a six-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League.
While opportunities in the Premier League might be limited due to competition from players like Romeo Lavia and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Casadei’s dedication to Chelsea is evident. He aims to seize his chances in the ongoing cup competitions.
Although getting minutes in the Premier League seems improbable at the moment, he has participated in both the EFL Cup and Conference League.
As Chelsea prepares for more matches in the Conference League and EFL Cup, supporters are keen to see how Casadei performs and whether he can secure a spot in the Premier League lineup.
