Chelsea forward Cole Palmer is determined to help his team secure a top four spot in the Premier League this season.
The England player has continued his impressive performance from the 2023/24 season and is now a key figure in Enzo Maresca’s squad.
In a convincing 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, he contributed a goal and an assist, bringing his season totals to eight goals and six assists in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign.
Last year, Aston Villa finished fourth, earning a place in the UEFA Champions League under Unai Emery’s management. Chelsea aims to replicate that success in the upcoming months.
While Maresca is focusing on success in the Conference League after Chelsea’s seventh-place finish last season, Palmer believes they can set their sights even higher for 2025.
“The desire the manager instills during training sessions and the players’ responses are key,” Palmer mentioned after the match.
“If we keep winning, we should find ourselves competing for a top four position. Our goal is to maintain this momentum and secure more victories.”
Palmer hopes his enthusiasm inspires his teammates as they approach a busy December filled with matches in various competitions.
Next on Chelsea’s schedule is an away match against Southampton on December 4, followed by a game against Tottenham four days later.
