According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Everton is in discussions with 23-year-old Irishman Jake O’Brien, with a medical planned if personal terms are agreed.
O’Brien, who moved to Lyon for £1 million from Crystal Palace a year ago, has impressed in Ligue 1 with 27 appearances and four goals, known for his aerial ability and physical presence.
The potential addition of O’Brien is seen as an ideal fit for Dyche’s playing style, especially amidst uncertainty surrounding Jarrad Branthwaite’s future, with Manchester United reportedly interested.
Everton stands firm on their valuation of Branthwaite, demanding over £70 million to part ways with the player.
