Harry Kane feels optimistic about joining Lee Carsley’s England team for the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches next week.
On October 3, Carsley will announce his second squad as interim manager, with England set to face Greece at Wembley Stadium on October 10, followed by a match against Finland in Helsinki on October 13.
Before the announcement, Carsley checked in on Kane, who had to leave the pitch in the closing moments of Bayern Munich’s recent 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Bayer Leverkusen.
According to the Daily Mail, Kane’s involvement is uncertain for Bayern Munich’s upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture against Aston Villa, as he undergoes further evaluations.
Carsley is awaiting additional information before making a decision on including his captain in the squad but remains cautiously hopeful about the 31-year-old’s condition.
Harry Kane’s England Achievements
In his first matches as interim head coach, Carsley secured victories over the Republic of Ireland and Finland, with Kane netting two goals in the latter, celebrating his 100th international cap that evening, and increasing his goal tally to 68.
