Spain and Germany Clash in Euro 2024 Quarterfinal

Spain vs. Germany head-to-head record ahead of Euro 2024 quarterfinal

The upcoming Euro 2024 quarterfinal will see hosts Germany taking on the in-form Spain as they battle for a spot in the semifinals.

Spain had a remarkable performance in the group stage, securing three wins without conceding a single goal. Their victories over Croatia, Italy, and Albania made them only the second team to achieve this feat in the history of the tournament, following Italy’s success in Euro 2020.

In the Round of 16, Spain faced their first setback as an own goal by Robin Le Normand broke their clean sheet record, but they managed to bounce back and clinch a 4-1 win against Georgia, setting up an exciting showdown with Germany.

Germany, on the other hand, had a strong campaign leading up to the quarterfinals. Despite initial uncertainties following poor performances in friendlies, Julian Nagelsmann’s team found their form at the right time, securing wins against Scotland and Hungary and topping Group A with a late equalizer against Switzerland. They faced a tough challenge in the Round of 16 against Denmark but emerged victorious with a 2-0 win.
