We get things started with Yemi Alade not because there’s any special reason but because it’s important to treat ladies specially and what not. Without further ado, let’s run through Yemi Alade’s Mama Africa album as we present a list of songs you should check on the project.
1. Yemi Alade – Mama Africa

Details: The Effyzzie Music star features an impressive array of A-lists including Selebobo, P-Square, DJ Arafat, Flavour, Sauti Sol, Sarkodie and Rotimi Keys.

Production was by GospelOnDBeATZ, DJ Arafat, Masterkraft, BeatsByEnzo, Mr Chidoo, Philkeyz, Rotimi Keys and Philkeyz

Stand out tracks:

Nagode is impressive and so is Mama Africa, Africa and Ferrari. But overall, the album Mama Africa didn’t deliver on all the levels expected given her run of form prior to the album’s release. Still, it serves its audience nicely.

2. Adekunle Gold – Gold

Details: The YBNL star features nobody on this debut album, nobody except Simi! A pretty daring move considering his genre of music is a hard-sell in this clime. But what’s impressive is he’s managed to pull it off successfully receiving an excellent feedback from the audience.
Production was by Oscar, Sleekamo, Masterkraft, Pheelz, Seyikeyz and B Banks.

Stand out tracks:

Pick Up, Friend Zone, No Forget, Work,Ariwo Ko.

3. Patoranking – God Over Everything

5. CDQ – Quality

Details: General Records artiste CDQ dropped Quality in August 2016 and the artistry and musicianship is unmistakable. CDQ is the underdog if indigenous hip hop in Nigeria and the good thing about this is it takes away a lot of pressure from him which allows creativity peak. He collaborates with Banky W, Reminisce, Olamide, Ice Prince, Davido, Vector, Cayanna, Kenny Black, Gabanabwoy, Skales and Masterkraft on this.

Production was entirely by Masterkraft and the creativity on the project is just what the title says –quality!

8. Tiwa Savage – RED

Fresh off her break as she delivered baby Jamil in 2015, Tiwa Savage dropped RED in the closing parts of 2015 but dropped a deluxe version in 2016 which is why we are rating the material here. She features Olamide, Iceberg Slim, D’Prince, Reekado Banks, 2baba, Don Jazzy and Wizkid on it. Production was by Altims, Spellz, Baby Fresh, P2J and Don Jazzy.

Stand out tracks: If I Start To Talk, My Darling, Standing Ovation and Bad.
