The famous Nigerian social media influencer known as VeryDarkMan has reportedly been arrested by the Police Commissioner of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Command, Igwe.
Martins Vincent Otse, popularly referred to as VeryDarkMan, has once again been taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force.
According to activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju, VeryDarkMan was apprehended for allegedly exposing an individual who scammed someone overseas.
Adeyanju mentioned that the social media figure was arrested on charges of defamation.
He stated: “Our client, @thatverydarkman, has been detained by the police following orders from CP Igwe for revealing the identity of an individual accused of defrauding a Nigerian overseas.
“Instead of apprehending the suspected scammer, the police arrested VDM on defamation allegations.”
