A congregation at a Protestant church in Rumukalagbor, Rivers State, experienced a shocking incident as police apprehended a youth leader, Tuouamene, during a service. The arrest unfolded following troubling developments linked to the death of a mother of three in a local hotel.
Shortly after Tuouamene delivered an emotive testimony, the congregation was taken aback when news of his arrest surfaced, leaving the church in a state of disbelief.
Allegations emerged that the deceased woman, an ex-partner of the youth leader, was discovered dead in a Rumuigbon hotel room after checking in with Tuouamene.
According to police sources, the unfortunate incident involved a married woman’s mysterious demise and the subsequent arrest of her former acquaintance, who attempted to mislead investigators by providing false information during his church testimony.
Police reports suggested that the woman, a mother of three, had reconnected with Tuamene, an old college mate, during wedding preparations on April 27, 2024.
The pair, who had shared a relationship during their college days at Rivers State College of Education, lost touch after graduating in 2012 but reconnected at Tuamene’s wedding, leading to a fateful meeting on May 14, 2024.
