A man named Nathaniel was shot by suspected kidnappers during the failed kidnapping attempt in the Bwari Local Government Area of Abuja. The incident occurred at around 2 am on Wednesday.
According to SaharaReporters, the kidnappers targeted multiple residents before the police intervened in the intense gun battle that ensued for half an hour.
Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT police command, confirmed the incident and urged the public to report anyone seen with gunshot wounds to the police.
She stated, “We received a distress call and mobilized operatives who engaged the criminals in a gunfight. Many of them fled with gunshot injuries. We are actively pursuing the kidnappers and urge the public to assist by reporting individuals with gunshot wounds to the police.”
