The picture shared by the Mexican actress dates back to 1998 at the ShoWest Awards in Las Vegas, where both Hayek and Perry were recognized for their roles in the 1997 romantic comedy ‘Fools Rush In’.
The circumstances surrounding Matthew Perry’s death
The renowned actor was discovered deceased in his Los Angeles residence, submerged in a hot tub. Although toxicology screenings were initially deemed unnecessary, the subsequent autopsy revealed the presence of drugs in his system.
On Thursday, August 15, 2024, five individuals were charged in connection to Perry’s demise for administering ketamine, including his personal assistant Kenneth Iwamasa and two physicians.
During a press conference, U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada remarked, “They were fully aware that their actions put Matthew Perry at significant risk, yet they proceeded with their course of action.”
