TikTok, the popular short-form video platform, is reportedly causing more harm than good in Nigeria, according to former presidential aide Bashir Ahmad.
Ahmad expressed concern over the platform being used by criminals, including bandits, to communicate and potentially glorify illegal activities.
Pointing out the need for stricter regulations and content monitoring on TikTok, Ahmad emphasized the urgent necessity for governmental intervention.
Ahmad’s view underscores the prevailing challenges posed by TikTok, which is being misused by criminal elements to promote their agendas and foster misinformation within the Nigerian society.
